Psalm 88 is an expression of Christ's experience at the cross during His crucifixion and is dubbed "Jesus' Good Friday Prayer" by Pastor Leland Geer as he calls us to reflect on the painful and sorrowful experience of Christ as He took our place to face the judgment and wrath of God against our sins. Easter, Resurrection Sunday, is a day that is unlike any other. On this day, nearly 2,000 years ago, Jesus came alive after being crucified and put to death for the sins of the world. He was buried, but three days later arose from the dead! His victory over death, sin, and Satan gives us today a promise of power and victory as well. As believers in Jesus we have the divine power of the Spirit of God indwelling us to help us conquer sin, temptation and the lusts of the old man. We are also given the promise of immortality and eternal life through Jesus Christ. We are invited this Easter to Come Alive!
