Faith, Joy & Finances (Part 2)

Today we continue our 2023 Stewardship Series with a focus on “Faith, Joy and Finances” (Part 2). Last week we talked about the impact faith has in our lives and the incredible impact it can have on our finances. We also looked at how faith brings us into a joy that is not conditioned upon the circumstances of this world, poverty or financial challenges, but rejoices in every opportunity to give, sow and invest in God’s kingdom. It is this combination of faith and joy that enables us to experience financial freedom and exercise liberal generosity in our lifestyle. Today, we explore the principle that true Biblical Giving comes from grace, not the Law. The Biblical Model of Financial Stewardship presented is this: 1. First, give YOURSELF to the Lord! (vv.4-5) 2. Second, give YOUR MONEY to the Lord! (vv.6-7) 3. Third, give GENEROUSLY to the Lord! (v.3, 7; 2 Corinthians 9:5-7) 4. Fourth, give JOYFULLY to the Lord! (2 Corinthians 8:2; 9:7) We also learn to how to create a budget!!!

Today we launch our 2023 Stewardship Series with a focus on “Faith, Joy and Finances”. In this first part of our series we talk about the impact faith has in our lives, which cannot be overestimated. It is how we enter into a relationship with God and it has an incredible impact on our finances. Through faith we learn to trust God rather than depend on the things of this world. We gain access to a joy that is not conditioned upon the circumstances of this world, poverty or financial challenges. And this combination of faith and joy enables us to experience financial freedom and exercise liberal generosity in our lifestyle.
