Today we conclude our message series on prayer and how we can grow and utilize prayer in our daily lives.
Pastor Mark Geer explores the dynamic experience of prayer in the Spirit. This incredible gift from God is a powerful way for Believers to pray as they allow the Holy Spirit to express the will of God through them in unlearned utterances. This is called praying in the Spirit, or alternatively, praying in tongues.
Today’s message traces prayer in the Spirit back to its roots in Joel’s prophetic promise and its fulfillment on the Day of Pentecost when the 120 disciples were all filled with the Spirit and spoke with tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Pastor Mark explains the nature of this type of prayer and addresses its use in personal, private prayer as well as in the congregational setting. He also addresses the benefits and blessings that come to us when we pray in the Spirit.
Prayer in the Spirit is an incredible privilege God has granted to us and a warm and welcoming invitation to call upon His name knowing He has promised to hear us! We hope today’s message has a very relevant application to your daily life and provides some powerful suggestions on how you can develop a life of unceasing prayer.
