The Freedom To Be person of God made us to be is greatly hindered by patterns of thought and perception that keep us in bondage. While many are not plagued by addiction that has stolen their ability to control their behavior, many are deeply affected by patterns of thought and action that lead to a loss of victory and peace in their lives.

Freedom To Be Part VI

The Freedom to Be must avoid the bondage that can occur to people, when desires become drives and turn to addictions. The Bible is an ageless book that addresses the nature of man and his weaknesses and tendencies toward sin. The battles we face are ageless and the answer the same for all generations. Today we look at the way sin attacks us and how deadly it is for any life.

The Freedom to Be must avoid the bondage that can occur to people, desires, drives and addictions. The battle for freedom is not a physical battle for time, resource or position but a battle within. The control of our lives begins in the mind. Paul reminds us of this in our text for today.

We are living in a day where abdicated responsibility has become the normal and not the aberrant behavior. In the study of freedom we must recognize and comprehend the important role of responsibility. While many feel that they are not the ones shirking responsibility, it would do well for us to consider what responsibility really means from God's perspective.
