The end is in sight NU! Today we are encoruaged by another student speaker! We hope that you are able to hear the word well today! Lindsay is a junior Pastoral Ministries major. She has a passion for studying the Bible and wants to work in women’s ministry to develop female leaders who know the Word of God. She loves all things chai tea and sweaters, and has an inner grandma that loves to knit and crochet.

He is a College of Ministry senior about to graduate in December with a degree in Church and Ministry Leadership He's also passionate about the Word of God, Truth, and seeing the church outwork its mission. Jonathan co-leads the young adult ministry at his church in Snohomish, WA.
Knowledge of Christ

There's a difference between knowing of someone and knowing them. Join us this week to dive into the ideas presented in 2 Peter 1:1-11. In our community we want to become better doers of the word. This week's message helps us accomplish that. Daniel Blakeslee is a senior pastoral ministries major, focus in youth ministries. He is from Everett, Washington. One of his long term goals is to be a youth pastor.
Cast Off

We've made it to week 11! We kick off this week with NU Alum Emilie Baca speaking on 1st Peter 5. How we need to cast off our anxieties and fears onto the Lord. Emilie Baca is an alum of NU who graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural Studies and Pastoral Ministry, as well as her Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership. She is an ordained by the Assemblies of God, she now serves at New Life Church in Renton WA as their Renton Women’s Director, Young Adult Pastor, and First Impressions Coordinator. Emilie has a passion to disciple the next generation and to lead people in a growing relationship with Christ.
Suffering is Necessary

Sarah Garat is a sophomore nursing student minoring in Intercultural Studies. Her goal is to eventually serve as a missionary and nurse, particularly in Cambodia with a focus on rural healthcare and church planting. She is currently serving as the Student Mission Coordinator for Campus Ministries. Sarah has a passion for seeing this generation awakened and equipped to carry the love of God to every nation.
Staying on Track

If we do not practice a certain skill, we get complacent and lose that ability. We need to be able to stay on track with our relationship with God. Join us as we dive back into 1st Peter and strive to be more like Christ. Joshua (Shua) Botsford is a Pastoral Ministries major with a minor in Business Administration. This is his third year at NU from Portland, Oregon. His goal is to serve in ministry and eventually become a head pastor while also investing time in global ministry. He is currently serving as the RA of Building B in the apartments. Shua is passionate about sports, music, and people, while also hoping to help those around him grow.
Revere Christ

We are called to act like Jesus, but sometimes we do not understand that we will then be treated like Christ. Hannah Castano takes us into the latter part of 1st Peter 3 to explore the idea of "Revering Christ"... Hannah Castano is a third year ministry major from Phoenix, Arizona. She has a focus in studying Pastoral Ministry in Youth and Family. Her dream is to become a youth pastor and then eventually even work with the young adult community.
Love in Unity

Joseph Gomez De La Mora is a third-year junior working toward a business marketing major. Raised in the heat of the Southern California sun, he has passion for worship and working in the mission field.

For Mondays this semester, we will be hearing from student speakers. They will be exploring the books of 1 & 2 Peter. Arianna Thomas is a junior majoring in Intercultural Studies from Springfield, Missouri. She aims to pursue her Masters in Teaching and become an Assemblies of God missionary to the region of Eurasia, planting churches, teaching English, and producing anthropological and theological writing.
We Have a Living Hope

He is originally from Santa Cruz, California. Danny is a first generation student who is called to church plant in Portland, Oregon to provide opportunities for people who are homeless and jobless in the city.
