WDJG (Where Did Jesus Go?)

WDJG: Ascension

April 7, 2024 • Jeff Noble • Matthew 28:16–20, Acts 1:4–11, Luke 24:48–49

In this conclusion to our WDJG series, Jeff talks about Jesus' ascension to heaven, and what he charged his disciples to do as he left. We see that Jesus has now called us into mission with him, continuing to do what he did while he was physically here on the earth.

WDJG: Easter

March 31, 2024 • Jeff Noble • Luke 24:36–49

Easter reminds us that the wait is over, Jesus is alive and God's plan of redemption has been fully realized in Jesus. On the first Easter, Jesus' disciples thought all this was too good to be true, they were still living in fear and doubt. On Easter Sunday, Pastor Jeff reminds us to live as Easter Christians, free from doubt and fear because of what Jesus has accomplished for us.

WDJG: The Cross

March 29, 2024 • Jeff Noble • John 19:15–30

Good Friday feels like a mistake. Jesus dies, and hope seems to die with him. Throughout our WDJG series, we have returned to four main principles: Where Jesus went, he went with purpose and in obedience, and there was an appointment with someone and a response. The cross is no exception to these principles, even if it may feel like it. Jesus even went to the grave with purpose, to accomplish victory over sin and death once and for all.

WDJG: Jericho & Jerusalem

March 24, 2024 • Jeff Noble • Matthew 21:1–11, Mark 11:1–11, Luke 9:28–40, John 12:12–19

The account of Palm Sunday in Scripture in some ways seems like a contradiction. There is so much joy and celebration on the part of the people as they welcome in their king, but Jesus weeps because he knows that they don't understand what kind of king he is. He wants the people to "get it," and they don't. He longs to give them peace, true peace, and that peace is something he still offers us today.

WDJG: The Wilderness

March 17, 2024 • Jeff Noble • Matthew 4:1–11

In this next installment in our "Where Did Jesus Go?" series, Jeff talks about Jesus' temptation by Satan in the wilderness. What can we learn from the fact that Jesus was tempted in the first place, and how he responded? Diving deep into Jesus' temptation gives us hope for our own lives and temptations, and a fresh appreciation for Jesus' work while he was here on earth.

WDJG: Capernaum

March 10, 2024 • Jeff Noble • Mark 5:21–43

Can you have hope that Jesus is going to move in your life when you need him the most? In this age of skepticism, hope and faith can be scoffed at. But, as we learn from Mark 5, there is hope in any situation because Jesus sees our pain and our need, and responds to our faith in him.

WDJG: Sychar

March 3, 2024 • Jeff Noble • John 4:1–42

As Jesus traveled through Sychar in Samaria, he taught us that only Jesus can satisfy our greatest needs. Find out more as Jeff walks us through this beautiful account in John 4:1-42
