As a believer, you have to understand who the enemy is and how your enemy operates. We cannot run scared and we can’t be stupid either. Put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. We must be a people who learn to and are willing to Stand Firm.

The Lordship of Jesus is the critical piece to a healthy relationship and effective Leadership. In marriage, the Lordship of Jesus must be in the center. In the Home, the Lordship of Jesus must be at the center. Especially in relationships that are hard. You will not survive without the Lordship of Jesus at the very center.

Jesus is the light of the world and when that light becomes part of our lives, it changes the way we live! It changes our attitude, our thoughts, our behaviors. It changes our walk! Walk in love, in light, and in wisdom.

Ephesians 4

Paul's message to the Ephesians has been THEORY in the first three chapters but In Ephesians 4, Paul is telling the church of Ephesus to get ready to move from theory to PRACTICE. We have to put into practice what we say we believe in theory.

When we know who we are in Christ as individuals and as a church, we begin to realize what we have access to in Christ. Our King has the ability, resources, and desire to do infinitely more than you could even ask or think. In Paul's letter to the church, it is his prayer that we would position ourselves to receive infinitely more from God.

We are a part of something significantly bigger than ourselves. Significantly more important and significantly more beautiful. You may be a single thread in the tapestry but you are part of a grand design. And it is Jesus who is building the church. Jesus who is weaving it all together.

Ephesians 2:11-22

There is unity in Christ but we have become a society in which our identity is not based on who we are, but who we are against. This identity crisis isn’t unique to 2018. In Ephesians 2:11-22, Paul addresses the divisiveness that was creeping into the church in Ephesus. Let us find our identity in Christ not in what we oppose.

Ephesians 2:1-10

God wants to work through us but first, he must work IN us. Sometimes we try to skip or fast-track this process. The more clearly we understand the problem – the more fully we will appreciate the promise – the more passionately we will pursue His plans.

Ephesians 1:15-23

August 19, 2018 • Chris Johnson

In Ephesians 1:15-23, Paul is saying when you place the emphasis on WHO you are - when you really discover who you are in Christ - you will discover that you have access to things that no amount of money can buy. It shouldn't matter what you have that will determine who you are. Rather, WHAT YOU ARE will determine what you have.

Ephesians: 1:3-14

August 12, 2018 • Arjay Johnson

Ephesians 1:3-14 reveals who we are in Christ. When you realize that you are who God says you are, and you have what God says you have… it changes you. It changes how you think... how you feel... how you act! Remember who you are, and whose you are!!

Ephesians

Paul's letter to the Ephesian church is relevant to us today as it encourages and teaches believers of God’s plan for His church. We'll take a look at four things the church must be: we must be surrendered to the Holy Spirit, we must be counter-cultural, we must be behaviorally repentant and we must be prepared for opposition.
