The Gift Receipt 4: Don't Stay on the Mountain

The Mission may take you to the Mountain - but the Mountain is not the Mission.

God renew in us a divine call to the mission.

Mark 9:2-13

Mark 11:12-25 Examine your tree - what is it producing? We can not trade Jesus in for a version of him that allows us to play religious pretend.

When it comes to forgiveness, Jesus doesn’t include a Gift Receipt - we can’t exchange it for something else or get our money back.

What if we have become so accustomed to the idea “does this fit me?” We have cashed in one gift for a better one… even with Jesus?
