When the king found out that Daniel was praying to God, he threw Daniel into a den full of lions! That would be so scary! But Daniel did the right thing and trusted God to keep him safe. Today, your preschooler will learn how God asked Samuel to find the new king. Wow! That’s an important job! God sent Samuel to Jesse’s house to meet his EIGHT sons. Samuel thought maybe the strongest, smartest, tallest, or even the most fun son would make a good king. But God told Samuel that the youngest son, David, would be the next king because David loved God. Talk about it: 1. How many sons did Jesse have? (Count them together!) 2.
