Out Of Whack

Realign Your Relationships

Husband & Wife

June 4, 2023 • Pastor Tim Cinnamon • Ephesians 5:18–33, Philippians 2:1–8, 1 Peter 3:7, 1 Peter 3:1–2

When we think about marriage, it's important to remember that God GAVE us marriage. God gave us marriage as a picture of the covenant love between Christ and the Church. God's desire for marriage is to be a covenant, not a contract. A covenant puts the needs of the relationship above the needs of our own.

Children & Parents

June 11, 2023 • Pastor Mike Towner • Ephesians 6:1–4, Matthew 28:19–20

Children and parents have an interesting dynamic in the context of the Bible. Children are called to honor their parents. This puts parents, especially fathers, in a position of authority over their children. Authority is NOT a privilege, it's a responsibility! God calls fathers to lead and nurture their children. As with any biblical relationship, there are a lot of similarities to the way God loves and provides for us, which becomes the basis for how we treat one another.

Workers & Bosses

June 18, 2023 • Pastor Mike Towner

Regardless of our role at work, we ALL answer to the same boss, and His name is Jesus Christ! As such, at work we should seek to honor God in all we do, point others to Him, and love one another as Christ loves us. We all may play a different role during within our workplace, but our mission is singular!

God & Me

June 25, 2023 • Pastor Mike Towner • 2 Timothy 4:17, Isaiah 40:29, 1 John 4:9–10, Ephesians 3:14–21, 1 Timothy 1:12

As we wrap up our "Out of Whack" series, we come to the most important relationship to get right; the relationship between God and ourselves. In order for that relationship to be at its greatest potential, we must be aware of Christ's presence in our lives, be anchored in that presence, and let His love fill us to overflow!
