God's Heart For Your Neighbors

September 11, 2022 • Pastor Mike Towner • John 3:16–17, 1 Timothy 2:3–4, Luke 15:1–6, Luke 15:7, Luke 19:10

Lost people matter to God. Luke 15:7 - "http://...there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance." God's heart is to seek out those "lost" ones, they are of great value to Him.

God's Great Plan For You

September 18, 2022 • Pastor Mike Towner • Philippians 3:20, Hebrews 9:27, John 5:24, 2 Thessalonians 1:8–9, 2 Corinthians 5:17–20

Resurrecting the lost is the consuming passion of God. As believers we were dead, and are now alive. We were guilty and now stand forgiven. We were separated, but now are connected. We were slaves, and now are free. We were living for ourselves, but are now living for God. God's great plan for our lives? Be an ambassador for Christ. Make God's mission YOUR mission!

In Then Through Me

September 25, 2022 • Pastor Mike Towner • Philippians 3:18, Luke 19:41–42, Acts 9:15–18, Matthew 7:22–23, 1 John 5:13

Our mission is to make more and better disciples of Jesus. The first place God works is within us. When we are truly in tune with God, trusting and obeying His will for our lives, we are truly ready to be used by God. Sometimes the work must begin IN us, so that He can work THROUGH us!

Why Is It So Hard To Share The Good News?

October 2, 2022 • Pastor Tim Cinnamon • John 8:1–11, John 14:6, Colossians 2:13, Matthew 9:36, Deuteronomy 22:23–25

Have you ever wondered "Why is it so hard to share the good news?". Shouldn't sharing the "Good News" be easy? When sharing the Good News of the Gospel is difficult, perhaps we've confused the true mission of the Church. When we make the mission of the Church anything other than making more and better disciples, we're missing the point. Love your neighbors for who they are, and who's they are and yearn for their salvation in Christ.

Well, That's Awkward

October 9, 2022 • Pastor Mike Towner • Matthew 9:11–12, 1 Thessalonians 2:3, 1 Thessalonians 2:9, 1 Thessalonians 2:5–9, Matthew 11:19

If sharing the gospel with someone has ever felt awkward, this message is for you! Pastor Mike takes a look at how the Bible teaches us to bless others around us as dear friends.

BLESS - Begin With Prayer

October 16, 2022 • Pastor Mike Towner • Matthew 28:19, Luke 18:1, 2 Thessalonians 3:1, Philippians 1:19, Ephesians 6:19–20

As we see throughout the Bible, often the first thing Jesus did before embarking on anything of significance was to stop and pray. Before He chose the 12 disciples, He prayed. Before He fed the 5,000, He prayed. Before He was about to raise Lazarus from the dead, He prayed. Pastor Mike introduces us to the "BLESS" model, an acronym for blessing our neighbors: Begin with prayer · Listen · Eat · Serve · Story.

BLESS - Listen

October 23, 2022 • Pastor Mike Towner • Proverbs 18:2, James 1:19–20, John 5:6, Luke 18:35–41, Mark 6:7

When we are hurting, one of the most helpful things someone can do for us is to simply listen to us. When we're heard, we feel valued. We learned last week that blessing your neighbors always begins with prayer. The second step in blessing your neighbors is to listen to them.

BLESS - Eat Together

October 30, 2022 • Pastor Adam Myers • Matthew 9:11–13, Hosea 6:6, Romans 10:9–13, Romans 10:14, Romans 10:15

Sharing the gospel doesn't have to be so difficult. Sometimes, that conversation start by sharing a meal with someone, which begs the question: "Who's at your table?". When did our preferences become more important than people's' pain? Jesus often went out of His way to seek out some of the most unexpected and undesired people so that He could be a blessing when they needed it the most. So, who's at your table? Invite your neighbors to eat with you and watch what happens!

BLESS - Serve

November 6, 2022 • Pastor Mike Towner • John 13:3–4, John 13:5, John 13:11–17, John 13:17

John 13:4-5: "He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him." In that moment, Jesus chose a towel over his title. Are there some areas or relationships in your life where you're being called to lay down your "title" and pick up the towel? CHOOSE to serve your neighbor!

BLESS - Share Your Story

November 13, 2022 • Pastor Mike Towner • Mark 5:18–20, 1 Peter 3:15, John 9:1–7, John 9:24–25

Anyone who has been changed by Jesus has a story to tell, and we were made to share the story of our walk with Christ! No matter what your story of life change is, that story was meant to be told. Your story may just be the inspiration someone has been waiting to hear to take the next step in their own faith journey.
