It’s really difficult to be under the authority of scripture when you think you’ve mastered the truth. There's a reason the Bible is called "The living Word of God"; it's meant to be not only read daily, but lived. When we become complacent with scripture in our lives, we are depriving ourselves of the lifegiving truth God has written for us.
