What’s the Purpose of the Mosaic Law? God gave the commandments in the Mosaic Law to Israel to highlight the condition of our heart. Because of the fall, sin has corrupted our ability to live rightly. As a result, our disobedience separates us from life with God. The gospel is about Christ Jesus fulfilling the righteous requirements of law on our behalf to set us free from sin and death and bring us into a right relationship with God.
