Jesus calls his followers to humbly serve others like him. Doing so, Christians experience true joy and satisfaction that material possessions cannot provide and experience the abundant life that Jesus promises.

In the story of the good Samaritan, Jesus answers two questions: 1. Who’s my neighbor? 2. What does it mean to love my neighbor? As we’ll see, our neighbors include those with whom we share ANIMOSITY, HOSTILITY, & DISTRUST. And loving our neighbor means demonstrating MERCY (compassion, contact, and care) to those neighbors!
