What does it mean to follow Jesus? In other words, what does the Christian life "look like?" Continuing in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus encourages Christians who suffer because of following Jesus that they are blessed. And following Jesus means that Christians are 'salt' and 'light' in the world, two metaphors pointing to Christians as bearers of the light of the gospel whose lives benefit the entire world.
