That is why, like knowing God himself, coming to know and love your spouse is difficult and painful, but can also be rewarding and wonderful. What are we doing a series on marriage for when so many people in our communities are single and disinterested in getting married? Are we stuck in the past, trying to resurrect a bygone era? A pastor said it this way: "Single people cannot live their lives well as singles without a balanced, informed view of marriage. If they do not have that, they will either over-desire or under-desire marriage, and either of those ways of thinking will distort their lives."
