God tells us who He is. Do we believe Him? Before we understand our identity, we must understand the identity of God. God’s first description of Himself: Merciful.
God describes Himself as “abounding in steadfast love.” God will sweep us off our feet with His love. He has loved us, not because of who we are, but because of who He is.

God describes Himself as “slow to anger.” Is it wrong for a father to show anger? Could it be that we’ve misunderstood God because we’ve misunderstood anger?
