Jesus has one phrase he uses when he calls those who would become his disciples: "Follow me." What do those hearing his words understand that to mean? Is it possible that being "a follower of Jesus" as the Church has largely interpreted it for decades, if not longer, has misunderstood or completely missed this simple invitation? And, if so, at what cost?
