8/16 Sunday Morning Worship 10:45 AM: Spiritual Disciplines for the Family (Gerry Horton)

Speakers:

Gerry and Kim Horton are Youth Ministry coaches in South Carolina for Word of Life Youth Ministries. They come alongside local churches to help them develop disciple-making ministries for children and youth. Gerry and Kim have been on staff with Word of Life Fellowship since March 2020.

Before becoming Youth Ministry coaches in South Carolina, Gerry and Kim were full-time Children/Youth pastor and wives for churches in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida for almost 28 years. They have also raised 3 children of their own.

Biblically, discipleship begins in the home, and the local church is to come alongside the family to equip parents in this endeavor. From their experience as parents and family ministry, they have resources to share that you can use in your home as you seek to train your children to know the Lord and grow in their walk with Him.

Friday night, the focus will be on walking out Deuteronomy 6:7, incorporating discipleship throughout the daily family life, including having family devotions.

On Sunday morning, they will be speaking about Spiritual Disciplines, and how each member of the family must have these 7 Spiritual disciplines in their life.
