NCC - ACTS Week 4 (livestream failure)

June 9, 2024 • Pastor Jimmy Ellison • Acts 18:1–11

WE APOLOGIZE, THIS SERVICE DID NOT RECORD DUE TO LOSS OF SIGNAL DURING THE LIVESTREAM RECORDING. 📖Read Acts 18:1-11      Prevenient Grace: God's grace that precedes us. Though God works anonymously, reflecting on life's "coincidences" reveals His care. Like a good parent, He protects, provides, and nurtures us without hovering. •God is at work before we arrive. God is omnipresent orchestrating future friendships and relationships to support your walk with Jesus. Even now, He is preparing and making a way. •God’s Prevenient Grace is immeasurably more. (vv.1-4) “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” (Ephesians 3:20) •Prevenient Grace prepares us for our next kingdom opportunity. (vv.5-8) •Because of Prevenient Grace, we don’t need to be afraid. (vv.9-11) APPLICATION: When we pay attention, we see God working in our lives, families, and jobs. Seek Him with your free will, follow His ways, and trust He will always do what is good and right for you—like a good father should.

NCC - ACTS Week 3

June 2, 2024 • Pastor Jimmy Ellison • Acts 17:16–34

📖Read Acts 17:16-34        HOLY AGITATION—When what burdens God’s heart, burdens yours.    God wants to do something new through you.   No location is off limits when sharing about Jesus’ love.   Remember, everyone longs to worship something.   We are not responsible for how people respond to Jesus.

NCCpm - ACTS Week 2

May 26, 2024 • Darrin Brewington • Acts 16:25–30

Every circumstance can be a salvation opportunity.  Misunderstanding our circumstances leads to bad life choices. Our salvation impacts all those around us.

NCC - ACTS Week 2

May 26, 2024 • Pastor Jimmy Ellison

📖Read Acts 16:25-30           God is always working towards our salvation and rescuing us. •Every circumstance can be a salvation opportunity. ( v.25: It’s midnight and Paul and Silas are singing hymns to God even after they’ve been beaten and falsely thrown into jail. They are still praising and worshipping!) •Misunderstanding our circumstances leads to bad life choices. (When we don’t understand God working in our circumstances, it can cause us to make some pretty bad life choices.) •Our salvation impacts all those around us. (The love of Jesus will cause you to help others experience His salvation.) APPLICATION: Salvation set us free (past tense) from the penalty and power of sin. (Justification) Salvation sets us free (present tense) to walk in freedom over sin. (Sanctification)

NCCpm - ACTS Week 1

May 19, 2024 • Jessica Harvey • Acts 15:5–21

THE SOLUTION TO CHAOS IS TO RETURN TO GOD WHO IS THE SOURCE OF ALL TRUTH. WE FIND THIS TRUTH IN SCRIPTURE, EXPERIENCE/TESTIMONY, & THROUGH COUNCIL WITH OTHERS. WE FIND THE TRUTH THAT GOD WANTS TO BE KNOWN, HE IS FAITHFUL AND UNCHANGING & HIS YOKE IS EASY.

NCC - ACTS Week 1

May 19, 2024 • Pastor Cedric Hill • Acts 15:5–21, Matthew 11:28–30, 2 Corinthians 1:3

We should serve as stepping stones toward Jesus, not obstacles. In everything we do, let us guide others to Jesus and direct our actions toward Him. -God didn't make it hard for us. He freely gives salvation; all we need to do is accept, trust, and believe to receive it. We shouldn't complicate it for others. His grace and mercy are enough for everyone. -The manifest presence of God balances the reality of the Law. The burden is already lifted! Jesus says to take upon His yoke for it is light.  -God restores his people so that the rest of the world may know Him. He turns all things around for our good and His glory.  Dive Deeper: Matthew 11:28-30, 2 Corinthians 1:3 APPLICATION: -Be your authentic self and receive others in love, but maintain the tension of truth and grace.
