Christmas 2017

Bring Out The God-Colours

Ruth

A God Who Can and a God Who Does • December 17, 2017 • Chris Moerman

Through the biblical stories of 4 remarkable women, we catch glimpses of God-colour amidst the muted palette of their circumstance and brokenness. The perseverance of Tamar, the faithfulness of Ruth, the courage of Rahab and the humility of Mary - women who sought justice, grace mercy and hope - who sought to bring out the God-Colours in their own world - and through their testimony, provide a glimpse of the light to come - Jesus. The Christmas season is a reminder of the light that God shines through Jesus and the opportunity we have to share that light with others. As author Eugene Peterson says, we are invited to ‘bring out the God-colours in the world’ - colours of grace, mercy, forgiveness, restoration, justice, peace, hope, love and joy.
