Navigating Discipleship

Part 3

January 17, 2021 • Pastor Ken Cline

In the third instalment of Pastor Ken’s sermon series, “One Makes a Difference,” he continued to encourage us to be disciples. Whether we are ready to disciple others, or in a place where we desire to be discipled ourselves, this is our mission. We are called to get God's ways in us by being discipled and then replicate that teaching by discipling someone else. One, by one, by one.

Discipleship is about getting from one place to another; from spiritual baby to spiritual adult. How many of you stop and ask for directions? Do you ask a friend, a spouse, a local? Or do you just try to figure it out yourself? I think most of us can say we like to do things on our own, even when it comes to navigating our spiritual lives. But why do it on your own when someone who has already found the way can help you navigate it? Let’s commit to discipleship. To be humble and teachable, so we may be discipled, and to follow Jesus and guide others, so we may be disciplers. This is my mission, your mission, and our mission.
