Not long after his next movie, Black Dog (starring Patrick Swayze) moved into the Top 5 movies, giving him two movies at the top of the charts in the same week! He had it all. Houses, Cars, Fame, Recognition...and he had the ego to match it all. That's when his family began to fall apart...and the Holy Spirit stepped in. Mitch Davis is my guest on this week's podcast. I first met Mitch in my pastors group known as Fishbowl Ministries. He is a preacher at Franklin Church of Christ and has served in that role for 14 years. He has almost 30 years experience in ministry. We discuss his conversion to Christ and his childhood growing up in Maui, Hawaii. Which naturally leads into a discussion of the devastating wildfires that swept through Maui in August 2023. Mitch will give some accounts of what took place and ways that people can still help now that the event is no longer in the news.

It's FAMILY time! I have been looking forward to having my wife as a guest on the podcast since the day we launched! Sarah Huisman is a devoted wife, mother, and leader at New Hope Community Church. She works with our middle school students and she is a lover of God and the Truth of His Word. This woman has raised four children in the church. We have kids in college, high school, and even elementary school and they all LOVE Jesus AND His Church! As a result, we are dedicated to helping other parents raise their children in the Lord. Thanks to Sarah for 23 years of marriage and many more to come AND 20 years of full time ministry together!
