Sermon Title: “The God of All Comfort”

Summary: 

Do we see God as the God of all comfort and compassion? Life throws at us a lot of curve balls. Starting with Isaiah 40, Isaiah is no longer speaking of Judah or Israel but of the future. There is only one consistency—God Himself who comforts His people with the fulfillment of all His promises. We are like the grass here today gone tomorrow but the Word of the Lord stands forever. We are called to spread His Word throughout the nations so others can hope in the God who is the God of all comfort by fulfilling all His promises. Do we believe that even when we feel we have failed our mission, even when we still see no good thing in us.” Do you still have the glad expectation that God will come down to you though still a sinner? John Calvin said, “…no one will ever reverence God but he who is confident that God is favorable toward him.”
