Jacob Steals Esau’s Blessing (Genesis 25:19-26, 27) For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does. (Psalm 33:4) God, I know you have perfect plans for me. Help me let go of control and let you carry out your plans. I trust you. In Jesus’ name, amen. 1. What do you hope to be when you grow up? Tell why. 2. What’s something you want to trust God for? 3. When we pray, we talk with Jesus. Who has something we can talk with Jesus about?

Isaac Is Born (Genesis 18:1-15; 21:1-7) For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does. (Psalm 33:4) God, your trustworthy character brings a smile to my face. Thank you for keeping your promises to me. May your love and joy fill my time. In Jesus’ name, amen. 1. Who do you know who has a baby in their family? 2. What’s something that makes you giggle? 3. What special food would you want someone to make for you?"

For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does.” (Psalm 33:4) God, your trustworthy character brings a smile to my face. Thank you for keeping your promises to me. May your love and joy fill my time. In Jesus’ name, amen." 1. Who do you know who has a baby in their family? 2. What’s something that makes you giggle? 3. What special food would you want someone to make for you?" Supplies: lullaby music Choose one person to be the “Baby.” He or she will sit in the center of your playing space and pretend to be a sleeping baby. Everyone will tiptoe around the room quietly as the Baby sleeps. Play lullaby music (optional). Sporadically stop the music and shout, “Baby’s awake!” Then the Baby will jump up and try to tag someone before that person can run and touch a wall. If tagged, the person becomes the new Baby. Babies trust the people who take care of them. They need help every day. And we can trust God. We need God’s help every day.

God Calls Abram (Genesis 12:1-8; 15:1-6) For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does. (Psalm 33:4) God, thanks for allowing me to be part of your plan. In Jesus’ name, amen. 1. Where do you go to look at the stars? 2. When we pray, we talk with God. Who has something we can talk with God about? ACTIVITY Spread out across one side of your room. Clear objects from the center of the room. Everyone will “travel” across the room to a new place. Call out a way for kids to move as they travel. Ideas include hopping, marching, leaping, and tiptoeing. Play as time (and energy) allows, calling out new ways to move each round. Like you trusted that I’d guide you for how to move, we can trust God. He’ll guide us and help us as we move through each day.

"And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.” (Ephesians 3:18)" God, thanks for do-overs. Even when I’m drowning in sin, I know you’ve forgiven me because of Jesus and that you want to be my friend. Thank you. In Jesus’ name, amen. 1. What kinds of animals would you want to join you on a boat? 2. Which kinds of animals have you seen this week? 3. How does God keep you safe? 4. Share about a time God kept you safe.

“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.” (Ephesians 3:18) "God, thanks for loving me—even when I choose me over you. You love me no matter what, and I love you, too. In Jesus’ name, amen." 1. What is your favorite fruit? Why? What is your least favorite fruit? Why? 2. Who is your best friend? Why? 3. When we pray, we talk with Jesus. Who has something we can talk with Jesus about? Play hide and seek. Have kids hide and parents "find" them by tapping their heads. When the kids are found say God wants to be your friend. Repeat. God found Adam and Eve when they hid. He still loved them even when they did something wrong. God wants to be your friend no matter what, because God always loves us!

“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.” (Ephesians 3:18) God, I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. As your image-bearer, please help me be who you called me to be today. In Jesus’ name, amen. 1. What’s something that makes you special? 2. Who do you love a lot? 3. What could you tell people about God? ACTIVITY: Look together through old pictures and talk about what makes someone special. Look in the mirror what unique qualities or skills do you have? People are God's special creation because we are made in God's image.

“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.” (Ephesians 3:18) God, thank you for creating the world.
