As a single woman living in a time of lawlessness, Ruth had few options. One choice was to remain in the city with a long list of immoral opportunities for survival. The other choice was to leave the city to struggle in the open country.

Introduction

The greatest act of love of all time took place when Jesus willingly died on the cross for us. God planned all along for Jesus to come to our rescue, and the Bible is filled with clues leading up to it. The book of Ruth shows us a picture of God’s amazing love, and at the same time, a glimpse at the behind-the-scenes work preparing the way for Jesus to come. In this series, we will gain a greater appreciation of God’s love for us and the world.
