Afghanistan We are partnering with Lutheran Social Services to provide needed aid to refugees entering Virginia from Afghanistan. Since August 20, New Hope has already provided over $2000 in assistance through gift cards and the purchase of essential items. We will have a contactless drop-off option in front of our building under the awning. Pacifiers, washcloths/towels, toothbrush/toothpaste, nail clippers, new underwear for men, women, and children, hairbrushes, *modest women’s clothing, *adult shoes, *men’s pants/ shorts, *children’s clothing, *children’s shoes, sippy cups/bottles, infant formula, chargers, diapers, women’s menstrual pads, soap, laundry detergent, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, liquid dish soap, all-purpose cleaners, toilet paper, paper towels (*these items may be gently used) -Volunteers are also needed to help process and fill out applications for residency and assistance.
