#THANKFUL

#THANKFUL

November 27, 2022 • Bob North, Lead Pastor • Psalm 100

Thankfulness is easiest when it is a habit. We need to strive to have a pattern of praise in our lives. If you were to look back at the last 6 months of social media, what kind of pattern do you have? How could that be changed to emulate the writer of Psalms attitude toward being thankful at all times, in the good times and the tough times.

#THANKFUL - Posting Your Praise

For some reason it seems to be our nature to quickly give God our list of needs and requests, but we also seem to be very slow to give Him thanks and praise. Think for a moment and ask yourself this question: “How often do I give God thanks and praise?” Now think of how often you you ask the Him to help meet your needs. We should consider how disrespectful it is to God when we fail to thank and praise Him for His presence and blessings. #THANKFUL

The world of social media is full of negativity and complaints. To participate in such a toxic way is to live contrary to the way of Jesus. Scripture is clear that we are to be marked by our gratitude as people who have experienced the grace of God. What would happen if we were to flood our lives with thankfulness? The Christian faith is not meant to be a private matter. In fact, throughout the Bible we are called to be vocal about our faith in Christ. When we rejoice, we should do it in a way that it might encourage others. Instead of choosing anxiety and worry, we should choose positivity and confident gratitude. As we live in an increasingly connected world, may our message through social media always point to our thankfulness.
