The Kingdom Is Near

The Kingdom of God is not something then and there, but it is here and now. Many Christians spend their lives simply waiting to die and go to heaven. However, we are supposed to live our lives bringing heaven to earth. It is possible for us to live our lives in such a way that the Kingdom of God becomes evident to all around us.

The Kingdom Is a Seed

he Kingdom of God is something that starts small but grows exponentially. There is an organic nature to the Kingdom of God that once planted, it comes to life and becomes a place of safety and protection. You can not underestimate the effects of the Kingdom, because though it may have humble beginnings, it is a powerful force.

The Kingdom Is a Net

The Kingdom of God is like a net which would have been used to catch fish. Just like the nets used in the ancient near east would catch all types of fish, the Kingdom is cast out in order to welcome people from all walks of life. The Kingdom of God is a net made up of people who have already been "caught" and who now join the King in his mission to "catch" others. It is not our job to choose who is kept and who is thrown back: our job is to just cast the net.

The Kingdom Is a Treasure

The Kingdom of God is of indescribable value. There is nothing within our lives that we would not gladly sacrifice in order to experience life under the rule and reign of God. The World offers us riches, fame, success, and significance through earthly means, but all of our deepest desires are met through a sold-out pursuit of The Kingdom.
