The greatest act of God's Grace displayed can be seen on the cross and at the resurrection of Christ. Paul reminds Philemon of God's power to save people through His Grace, as Onesimus comes to know Jesus Christ. He's no longer Philemon's slave, but his brother.

It's easy to ask favors of people when you are fairly certain of the answer or outcome. But Paul shows us what it looks like to make a bold request. Boldness is something God gives us through His Grace. But being bold for Christ often requires us to stand out and take a risk.

Once we have an understanding of our faith in Jesus Christ, and the grace God has shown us, we are called to have a generous heart. this means we are generous with our time, money, resources, etc. People should see that we as believers are kind and generous towards others. Often, this is the most powerful ministry tool we have.

The Bible says that we are saved by grace through faith. Because of the grace God has shown us, we can make a decision to place our faith in Him. This concept is one Paul writes to Philemon about early on in his letter. It's a foundational principle that everything else will flow from.
