Redemption to Redemption Ruth 1:6-13

Ruth1:1-2
Bethlehem = house of Bread, Judah = praise
Moab = Wash Pot,  Ephrethah = fruitful
Elimelech = my God is King, Naomi=pleasant,
Mahlon = unhealthy,  Chilion = puny

Ruth 1:3-5
Elimelech dies and is buried in a foreign land!  Naomi’s role is now the leader.
Puny and Sickly knew that the marriages would not honor God; but it fed the family!

Ruth 1:5  Naomi has nothing left. No HOPE! 3 graves, no home, no way to survive!
When we reach the end of ourselves; God has room to work!

Ruth 1: 6-7   God was at WORK in the land of Praise and Naomi heard about it!
Psalm 63:1-3
God used her memories to create a desire for His work in her life!
He often CALLS to us in a foreign land!
Instead of praying;  God bless me; pray God make me blessable!
Naomi’s decision was right; her motive was wrong!

Ruth 1:.8-13
WORLDLY WISDOM vs. GODLY WISDOM
LUKE 14:22-23
Do we use Godly or Earthly Wisdom?
Could it be that Naomi was trying to hide their sins from family or friends?
The BIBLE IS NOT A FAIRY TALE!!
Prov. 28:13
Psalm 51:16-17

Ruth 1:13  She blames God for her Emptiness!  The Pleasant Woman was bitter!

Isaiah 55:8-9
