In ancient times this could be a perilous journey full of fear and anxiousness. As these Psalms were sung, they would remind the singers to look to the Lord in the midst of fearful and anxious situations because he would surely hold them, even in the midst of difficulty. The same is true for us today as we look to our trustworthy and sure Father.

In an act of pure grace, God defeated sin and has brought us back into a life of ruling and reigning once we come under and apprentice to Jesus' ways, the ways of listening to and obeying God the Father.
