Being formed by suffering

If we are to be formed into the image of Jesus for the sake of others, we need to learn how to suffer with the same kind of faith, relationship, and perspective that Jesus suffered with. Since sin entered the world, God's big story is full of stories of God's people enduring suffering and yet holding on to the truth that our suffering is not in vain. Rather, it is a way that God conforms us into the image of his Son.
