People are more similar than we are different. And yet, we value people differently based on their label. One way we categorize and label people is according to their ethnicity. Regardless of what you believe about racism, whether it is personal prejudice or systemic in our society, we all can agree that there are deep racial tensions. However, prejudice and racism are a part of our story because we are humans. As much as we want government programs, sensitivity training, and integrated education to bring about racial reconciliation, the only solution to racism is a heart transformed by Jesus.
Baptism

Baptism (immersion) reenacts the gospel in a beautiful and powerful way. It has a unique way of picturing our own death, burial, and resurrection as we are crucified and buried with Jesus and raised to walk in the newness of life. Baptism is not the means of salvation. Baptism is not the mark of salvation. We are saved by grace, through faith. Baptism is the normative manifestation of faith in which we are identified with Jesus.
