The Powerful King

We see the power of God on display in: (1) The star in the sky. (2) The timing of Jesus’ birth. (3) The victory of King Jesus over King Herod. - The star was significant to these astrologers. - King Herod was a real person and represented a real enemy. - For every move Satan made, God fulfilled a prophecy He had made.

The Present King

- Joseph was a descendant of King David. - Sin is more than a moral mistake. Sin is destructive to us and to others. - Jesus came as our king to save us from our sins. - The fruit of salvation is being with Jesus. - The presence of the king gives us courage.
