If you acknowledge Jesus in front of others, His Father will not disown you. Revelation 3:5

Confessing Jesus in front of others requires more than talk. Matthew 15:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, James 2:19, Matthew 21:28-32, John 9:19-23, Acts 19:13-20

Peace with God in heaven sometimes provokes enmity with people on earth.

A Christian’s cross to bear is sometimes heavy with the hatred of unbelievers.

Fearing man more than God is a deadly eternal decision.

Matthew 10:40-42 Jesus calls His disciples to be one with Him and His Father through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. John 17:20-26, Matthew 25:34-40 God meets the needs of His prophets and those who care for them. Genesis 20:7, 1 Kings 17:9-15, 2 Kings 4:8-10, Hebrews 11:35, Acts 16:15, Hebrews 6:9-12 Faithful, righteous people are rewarded on earth and in heaven. Genesis 15:1-6, Psalms 7:25, Isaiah 3:10, Matthew 6:1, 4, 6, 8, 16:27, 2 Thessalonians 1:6-7, 2 Peter 2:7-10 God’s economy gives rewards for sharing a cold cup of water with a brother or sister. The world’s economy kills steals and destroys everything a person works for. Isaiah 55:1-3, Luke 15:14, Revelation 18:14 Whose economy are you working in?

Matthew 10:21-31 Not all of your friends and family will be happy that you are living a holy life. Jesus warned his disciples that they would be targets of the same hatred that He experienced. Romans 8:17-18 You will be saved if you do not allow the nonbeliever’s hatred to change your mind and erode your faith. Jesus faithfully supports His disciples and the truth they proclaim so that they do not falter. It is enough to be like Jesus. Galatians 2:20 Truth cannot be hidden. Fearlessly proclaim the truth. Do not be afraid of men that can kill your body. John 19:8-11 Be afraid of God who can banish you from His loving presence eternally. Romans 8:37-39, 11:22 True disciples are valuable to God. Romans 8:31-32 What are you afraid of?

Be Wise

Matthew 10:16-20 Only “The Good Shepherd” is able to keep sheep safe among wolves. It is not always easy to recognize sheep and wolves. Matthew 7:15, 2 Corinthians 11:13-15, 1 John 4:1 Jesus is the Lamb of God that was sent into a world of wolves. Isaiah 53:7 The shrewd serpent influenced Eve to sin. Jesus wants His disciples to influence sinners to repent and be saved. The dove depicts an innocent life following the Holy Spirit. Persecution is an opportunity to be a witness for Jesus. The Holy Spirit will tell you what to say. John 12:49, Matthew 21:23-27, Acts 4:18-23, 23:6-10 Are you a shrewd, wise sheep?
