Who is Jesus?

Luke 3:21-38

Every Christian should strive to be baptized by water, and by the Holy Spirit.

God The Father and The Holy Spirit confirmed Jesus’ identity when He was baptized.

Jesus’ genealogy confirms His identity.

Matthew’s genealogy is different than Luke's.

1. Luke goes back to Adam, while Matthew goes back to Abraham.

2. Luke records Jesus’ lineage through David’s son Nathan, while Matthew records the lineage through David’s son Solomon.

3. Luke may be a record of Mary’s lineage.

4. Zerubbabel and Shealtiel are included in both records.

Zerubbabel rebuilt a temple more glorious than Solomon’s. Haggai 2:1-9

Jesus is the glory that filled the temple Zerubbabel built. John 2:18-22

Christians are, “temples of the Holy Spirit.”

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
