Samaritan’s Purse periodically needs help loading planes with relief supplies. The hangar is located at PTI Airport in Greensboro. Volunteers must be at least 16 and must be able to lift 50+ pounds. The work conditions could be very hot or very cold and it involves working around heavy machinery, pushing pallets, and loading cargo into the belly of the plane. Training is provided. There is not a set schedule – Samaritans Purse will contact volunteers on the roster when they need help. The requests would often be fairly short notice – probably no more than a day or two before.
