Calling all history students - young and seasoned! Join us for a history symposium with local historians and student presenters focusing on local and North Carolina history.
Presenters will be:
Brad Livengood - Brad has spent his life searching for artifacts, beginning as a small child digging for Civil War relics on Virginia Battlefields. This led him on a quest to discover the artifacts and physical evidence of the early settlers in our area, in particular, the settlers who created a community along the Old Greensboro Road, which was kind of a superhighway of the past. He is a historian, author and artifact recovery specialist.
Brad will be sharing at 10 am in the Sanctuary.
Phil Sloan - Phil is a lifetime learner and lover of history with knowledge of our American Revolution. Specifically, Phil's discussion for this symposium will focus on Nathaniel Greene.
Phil will begin at 11 am in the Youth Room.
