In every age, the Church is always in danger of accommodation, especially as it attempts to present the Gospel. Churches feel they need to be “seeker-friendly” and dumb down the teaching to "keep with cultural norms.” Those phrases should scare us to death! Because those phrases tell us that there’s a great likelihood for a “false gospel” to be taught. During the Tribulation that’s exactly what will happen.
