Day 2: Seek Him Constantly
1 Thessalonians 5:16–18
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 - “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
Romans 12:12 “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
Paul’s letters to both the church of Thessalonica and to the church in Rome contain practical implications as to how the gospel should affect a believer’s everyday life. One aspect throughout these two books that has always stuck with me is our need to be in constant communication with the Father through Jesus. Whether facing a huge decision or assignment you are wrestling with or it’s just unruly children you are wrestling with, God wants to hear from you and it’s good for our walk with Jesus to give everything, every minute, over to Him! Ask Him to guide you, ask Him to use you, and watch and see what He does! Talk to Him constantly when you are in the car, working, doing laundry, cooking supper, then be quiet and listen, because He is surely speaking!
PRAYER: Father, I long to hear Your voice! Thank You that I am never alone and You are right here constantly with me waiting to talk to me! Help me to seek You every moment through prayer and worship!! You alone are worthy of all my thoughts. When I am drawn away and distracted, quiet my mind by your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
