In the book of Matthew, Jesus gives us the meaning of life, and it’s no secret. An eight-week worship series called, “Happy,” concludes on Sunday, September 15, as we turn to Jesus’ famous “Blessed are the . . .” statements at the beginning of the Sermon on the Mount. The seventh message in the series, “Suffering,” is rooted in Matthew 5:1-2, 10-12 and explores the perspective of those who are persecuted.
