Christianity is not appealing because it's often seen as an obligation or duty. Jesus taught a parable about the joy discovered as we lean into the kingdom and leave behind the lesser treasures of our former way of life. Before the kingdom makes any difference in the world, it will make a difference in our lives.
What are we putting in the way of the kingdom? Are there things in this world that we treasure more than Christ and his Kingdom?

Jesus taught a parable to His followers explaining the best course of action for living in an evil world. Our part may be counterintuitive. Our job is not to pull weeds but to plant seeds. We are not detectives for evil, but we are agents of change in how we live.

Jesus didn’t share everything with everyone, but only those who have ears to hear. To those who heard him, he shared more. We can choose to be open to direction from God’s word and gain more wisdom, or be obstinate toward growing in the knowledge of his world.
