When God Says Something Twice

We will complete our study of the book of Haggai this week by covering Haggai 2:10-23. It’s a challenge for all of us to rightly prioritize our time, talents, and treasures. God’s promise is that if we rightly prioritize God as first in our lives, he will bless us. Especially look at Haggai 2:19 in this week’s text. It is a clear promise from God. There’s also a future promise in this week’s verses - a promise that assures us that Jesus is in control over everything that’s happening in our world. 1 in 4 verses in the Bible are future prophecies. These verses are future promises. Therefore, we need to fear nothing.

“How to Respond to Loss in Life: A Greater Glory

This Sunday, we will continue our study of the book of Haggai. More specifically, we will look at Haggai 2:1-9. As the new temple is being rebuilt, there’s sadness among older people who remember how glorious Solomon’s temple was. They start to weep as they remember their loss. Then God makes promises to them regarding a greater glory with the completion of the new temple.

Do Right Priorities Bring Financial Blessings from Heaven?

This week, we will begin a new series looking at the book of Haggai. It's the second smallest book in the Old Testament, only 38 verses. But it packs a wallop in what it teaches. Haggai 1 poses an important question: Does financial generosity open the windows of heaven from God for greater blessings? We will answer this question looking at Haggai's teaching along with Solomon's, Malachi's, Jesus's, and Paul's. There is a consistent answer in God's Word.
