Defining Moments

July 2, 2023 • Pastor Scott Kilpatrick • Luke 23:1–25

All moments are not created equal! Some moments are so powerful and so significant that we feel their impact long after they have passed. These defining moments reveal who we truly are, what we truly value, and who we truly worship. Jesus’ trial was a defining moment for everybody involved. In the most important moment of their lives, the religious leaders, Pilate, Herod, and the crowd all had the chance to do the right thing. In their defining moment...they failed completely.

God will use your mess

June 25, 2023 • Pastor Mike Maiolo • Luke 22:54–71

This account of the Apostle Peter’s denial of knowing and being associated with Jesus is important because we all have found ourselves in moments of failure. What are the warning signs in our life of moving far away from Jesus? What are the “markers” to know that we can come back? Does God really love me and forgive me?

What do I do now?

June 18, 2023 • Pastor Mike Maiolo • Luke 22:39–53

Why do I struggle with this? Does being a Christian mean we must suffer? Does loving God mean we won’t suffer? Is there a wrong response to suffering? There are struggles that will hold us back if we allow them, but knowing that Jesus struggled, gives us hope.

No Excuses

June 11, 2023 • Pastor Mike Maiolo • Luke 22:31–38

Often when we fail in areas where we are weak, the enemy will lie to us with pressure to believe that things are over. But if we really look at what Jesus said to His disciples at the most important meal He had with them, He knew they would all fail. Jesus says and does something earth-shattering for them.

The Power of the Last Meal

June 4, 2023 • Pastor Mike Maiolo • Luke 22:1–30

Great memories take place over meals. This is a moment Jesus never wanted the twelve disciples to forget. He really “flips the script” of who really is the greatest in His Kingdom. This meal is a look back to the Passover, which was celebrated in the Old Testament, but Jesus wanted them to receive a new meaning. But what are the disciples really thinking?

Signs of the End

May 28, 2023 • Pastor Zach Fox • Luke 21:5–24

“It’s The End Of The World As We Know It,” a popular song by R.E.M., is one of many songs, movies, and T.V. shows that depict the end of the world. It seems like everyone is obsessed with when the world will end and how that will take place. Jesus told his followers to be ready for his return following his resurrection and accession. Every generation since has claimed that the world has become so corrupt and dark that this must be the time Jesus returns. Yet, the world kept spinning, and here we are 2,000+ years later. So what do we make of all this as believers? In today’s passage, Jesus will give us some great insight on how to prepare for the signs of the end.

No Expiration Date

May 21, 2023 • Pastor Mike Maiolo • Luke 21:1–4

We all know what an expiration date is on a food item, but when it comes to giving to God and His work, there is no expiration date. What does it really mean to “give everything to God”? Giving back to God ought to be a time of celebration and thankfulness, simply returning to Him what is His. If we find ourselves living paycheck to paycheck, we may need to realign ourselves with the principle in this text to find that place of fulfillment with God.

The Truth Shall Set You Free

May 14, 2023 • Pastor Scott Kilpatrick

Moms are amazing! God has given them a unique role, and He uniquely empowers them to succeed. The key to a mom’s (and everybody else’s) success is to align their efforts and energies with the truth of God’s word. What the Bible says is TRUE, and its truth sets moms (and the rest of us) free.

When they are against you

May 7, 2023 • Pastor Mike Maiolo • Luke 20:27–44

Once again, the critics of Jesus take one more stand to discredit Him as He is at the end of His earthly ministry. There will always be those who will attempt to discredit you and the good news of God. The way that Jesus responds is a great lesson for us today.

It's Yours...

April 30, 2023 • Pastor Mike Maiolo • Luke 20:20–26

Ever wonder what responsibility we carry with all that God has given us? It is amazing that the last week of Jesus’ earthly mission to save all of humanity ends in the same way it begins – with people amazed at His teaching. His adversaries had one last chance to entrap Him and have Him arrested, but Jesus’ response is full of truth for us today as well. Who is really in charge?
