New Year’s is a natural time to look ahead. To ask, “What is God up to?” and “What might He want to accomplish this year?” These are big, powerful questions that can sometimes overwhelm us with their significance. We want to align our activity this year with God’s plans, but how do we know for sure what those plans are? How do we know where God is leading us? How do we know what to do? The enormity of these questions can be paralyzing, keeping us from doing anything at all! Fortunately, several passages in Scripture provide clarity and insight about how to discern God’s will and how to act on what we discern. 2025 is not a year to sit motionless in fear. It’s a year to stand up, get started, and DO SOMETHING for the love of God.
