Impact of the Cross

The cross is the symbol of the sacrifice that Jesus made on our behalf. It is also the centerpiece of the Bible and the message is about God’s love for us. What is our response to such a great sacrifice?
Fortelling the Cross

Do you ever look out into all the chaos and suffering around you and wonder, “What in the world is going on? Why isn’t God doing something about this?” I’m certain Jesus’ disciples felt many of those things as Jesus hung on the cross in front of them, dying. But the Old Testament prophets foretold Jesus’ suffering centuries in advance. This was part of God’s plan. Our suffering does not take God by surprise. And it may be the very thing He is using to accomplish His purposes.
