Defy The Giants - Your Past Is Preparation

October 13, 2024 • Pastor Ezra Stanton • 1 Samuel 17:24–28, Ephesians 3:18–19, 1 Samuel 17:31–37

In today's message, we're diving deep into how your past has shaped you for the battles you're facing—and the victories to come. Whether your past makes you cringe or gives you confidence, God is using every moment as preparation. Just as David faced Goliath, you too have giants—problems bigger than you. But you're not alone. God is with you, multiplying your small steps into great victories.

David wasn’t intimidated by Goliath because he had already faced his own "giants"—lions and bears in the field. These moments in his past prepared him for the bigger fight ahead. And just like David, your challenges, struggles, and past wins are equipping you for your future battles.

Your past doesn’t disqualify you from God's love. His love is unconditional—limitless, without boundaries, and available to all who seek it. The same God who rescued David from lions and bears is fighting for you. Doubters and obstacles will appear, but remember: "Impossible odds set the stage for God's greatest miracles."

Today, I challenge you to see your past not as a barrier but as the training ground for your future. Every giant you defy prepares you for the life God has for you. Will you step up and face your giants? The battle is already won through Christ!
