Swept Away
1 FORMERLY - our lifestyle makes a statement about who we LOVE and FOLLOW - what path are we on? where does it lead? 2 PUT IT ASIDE what? (make a list from the Scripture) - Ecclesiastes 1:9 - there is no new SIN that God hasn’t dealt with in the Scriptures - OLD vs NEW - another Metaphor - how? mature PRAYER - Write one now: 3 RENEWED - overwhelm sin with grace - this is what God does - he takes our sin and sweeps it away - inside the waves that seek to spill us - truth replaces lie - Revelation 7:14
Pushed Hard
1 THE HURT pushed so hard - external forces - maybe we face something UNDESERVED - there are consequences for some choice we fall - feel overwhelmed - start to lose HOPE 2 THE HELP a glorious interruption the Lord intervenes in our weaknesses - God shows his STRENGTH in the silence - God is our SONG in our need - God is our SALVATION the truth of God finds us in real world places: in the darkenss, in the despair, in the confusion may you actually know the strength of the Lord may the Lord actually be your song may you know the Lord is your salvation
