This Gathering for Clergy is an opportunity for our clergy to focus on doctrine, best practices and to build relationships with other GMC pastors. This event is open to GMC clergy outside of the Mid-Texas Conference. John Wesley is known for his dire prediction of the Methodist movement unless we “hold fast to the both the doctrine, spirit, and discipline with which we first set out.” As we set out anew in the Global Methodist Church, the clergy are aiming gather around the doctrine, spirit, and discipline in small groups and collectively. Mark your calendars for The Gathering August 3-4, 2023 at First Methodist Church in Temple, Texas. All clergy in the MidTexas Annual Conference are expected to join in a time of worship, teaching, and fellowship. Rev. Dr. Jason Vickers will be our keynote speaker. The Board of Ministry will host workshops aimed at our newest clergy colleagues and others aimed to enhance the ministry of more seasoned clergy. God has something for each one of us as we gather in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit. See you there! Childcare is available for the Thursday and Friday evening worship services as well as the Ordination service Saturday 10am. Pre-registration is required by July 13.
